HIDEit Mounts introduces the first wall mount solution for the PlayStation® 3 (PS3 Slim)!
Press Release from HIDEit Mounts
Irvine, CA – October 5, 2009 – HIDEit Mounts introduces the newest in their lineup of sleek mounts for your favorite gaming consoles and electronics. The long awaited PlayStation® 3 120GB aka PS3™ Slim has its very own HIDEit Mount, the HIDEit 3S Mount.

“We are seeing most electronics, computers and gaming systems getting smaller and smaller,” said Chuck Shirley, Founder of HIDEit Mounts. “Being a long-time PlayStation® fan, I’m really excited about the new, slim PS3™ and we just couldn’t wait to create a wall mount for it!”
The HIDEit 3S Mount was designed specifically for the PS3™ taking into account the size and beautiful curve of the System. The 3S Mount maintains the aesthetics of the PlayStation® 3 System and very little of the clear, acrylic mount is even visable. The new PlayStation® 3 is so slender, the HIDEit 3S allows you to mount your console behind most wall-mounted flat panel televisions.

WOW!!! I just tried something I have never experienced before, I’m baffled about the efforts hideitmounts.com has gone to regarding customers service. Actually reading some of my blog posts and noticing I got engaged and commenting on it. People, I haven’t experienced that before. So yeah, I still feel a little robbed at the $25 cost of the Wii wall mount, but the excellent customer service kinda makes up for it. You might notice how I DIDN’T like the customer service of the MVixUSA people (they were spreading fake comments on blogs about their product and, more importantly for me, plargiarizing MY comments about their products which I initially liked). The email I reiceved from the HIDEit mount people read the following (how they linked my email to my blog is an entirely different, more scary, subject…):
Hello barelyadraft,
Please keep us updated once you’ve received the unit. We noticed and appreciate your blog online, we are looking forward to seeing pictures of your unit wall mounted.
Also, we see that congrats are needed. Congrats on your recent engagement!
Thank you,
The HIDEit Mounts Team
Now naturally I want to show my new setup, but due to unforseen difficulties in setting the unit up, I am not finished yet. This is not because the HIDEit mount it difficult to mount on the wall, it’s really very easy, it’s only that my dad hasn’t come by and done it as fast I would have hoped. Yes, my dad i my personal craftsman. Whether it is plumbing, building new closets, wall paper….ing(?), or mounting of plastic on my walls, he’s the man. I highly recommend him – go to the BAD Contact page and give me an overview of what you need and I will discuss the matter with him (…).
Anyway, back to business. So before I didn’t anything, my whole setup was closer aligned to getting gadgets and features in the room than making everything look good. I have tried to illustrate it in the image below

The I finally managed to get my dad on board and we fixed the first part – getting the mounts up. This of course leaves a hell of a cable mess, but that is to be fixed when I (read: my dad) gets time to do it. I’m actually really looking forward to getting it done, since it’s been bugging me for years.
I will be sure to post the final final result when I around to fixing the last bit of cable mess by following this link when it becomes a link (or see below if I forget to update it).
On an additional note I would like to ask the HIDEit Mounts people to maybe consider making a wall mount for the Xtreamer media player, which is awesome (more on that in a post I’m writing concurrently with this one).
